Respira con la marea
The Meditteranen Sea connects us with the coast of Gaza, Syria, Lebanon. It’s waves and tides are part of Intricate web of connections. “Respira con la marea”, a performance inspired by work of Adnan, explores human ontological boundaries and invites us to listen to beyond-human possibilities of kinship, connection and affinity. Subject of water and sea was often very present in Etel Adnans work, born in Lebanon. We perform and sing with the Mediterranean Sea, with it’s stones and sand, looking for spaces of healing and connection, for experiences of both mourning and life-affirmation. The performance brings a phrase from a poem "Falastini Ana" by Palestinian poet Farah Chamma: “I see her in the shining night over the Dead Sea / And in everything dead, that remains living in us”.
Performance by Agnieszka Bułacik with Maria Oblicka, Agnieszka Róż, water and stones from the Meditteranen Sea, hydrophone.
